Well, so much for being an emotionless robot *coughtakethathaterscough*

I’m loving all of these little face shots, because we get to see what an absolutely wonderful job they did on the emotions here. There’s this tiny little smile, this tiny little crinkle right around the eyes. A gentle lift on her eyebrows. That’s it. It’s not over blown. It’s one second and such small movements that you don’t even necessarily pick them out when it first happens.

And I love it. There’s this whole other layer to everything written into their body language.

(Is there an award for awesome depiction of body language in a visual media? If so, can I nominate these people? Because they just rock.)

I encourage Fanterns to remember that Aya has had development, a lot of it, that in no way relates to her as being a subset of Razer. Aya is her own person and the romance with Razer is only a small part of that. We have literally watched her grow from newborn A.I. to a full-fledged Green Lantern (in every sense that matters). She’s her own person, and that’s amazing and a little rare in animated shows aimed at a younger audience that often forget to fully flesh out female leads.
