Sometimes I forget that in all of his terribleness with the ladies, Razer managed to score a wife.
A hot wife.
They probably boned a lot.
Just saying.
I know this is a fantasy, an illusion meant to bring me pain. The memories keep replaying, over and over and over in my head. They hurt, but I don’t mind. I get to see her again. Even if it’s for one more moment.
#let’s talk about this scene shall we #because this ship is perfect #and its development is perfect #aya takes all this in and understands that razer is willing to put himself through so much pain just to see the face of someone he loves #and even though she claims that she chose ilana’s face purely because it was the most recent form she had in her memory #she chose it for other reasons #and she calculated that razer might get some small joy out of seeing his beloved’s face again #but in a much healthier and more subtle context #she did it for him! #so when he gets mad at her she doesn’t understand because he basically told her from the beginning that that’s what he wanted! #how could she possibly know that taking over ilana’s form again would be so hurtful to him #when she was trying so hard to help? #yup
(i might get kicked for this but) I. actually don’t like the idea that she did it for him. And I really don’t think she did it for him in any way. The logical reasoning would be that Ilana was the only female ‘figure’, so to say, that Aya had in her archives, so that’s why she used it.
Choosing to use Ilana’s image because she wanted to help Razer see her again…? I’m not exactly sure how healthy that would be for either of them had that been that choice.

Razer and Ilana seemed to have a gentle and loving relationship, for however brief a time we were able to see them interacting. I wanted to portray that in this intimate moment.

So I asked tofukitten what gif she want. I thought she wanted a cute Razer/Aya moment, but she asked this scene instead and I was like… “whut?” 8D
Headcanon that during a mission, Hal and the crew will fall under more hallucination prisons and Aya will have to get their asses out of trouble again.
Rather than seeing their worst memories or nightmares, we get to see their dreams and desires that not have come to pass?
