In a bit of disappointing comic books news, the writer who said “His run on “Red Lanterns” will draw upon “Green Lantern the Animated Series,”” [link], has unfortunately left the book before his first issue hit stands.
Josh Fialkov said that his upcoming run on “Green Lantern Corps” and “Red Lanterns” will go hand-in-hand, not unlike what’s happening with “Fantastic Four” and “FF.” His run on “Red Lanterns” will draw upon “Green Lantern the Animated Series,” just no Razer. He was also bummed the Animated Series was not picked up. Josh also said he knew about what Dan Slott had coming on Spider-Man months before it broke and that he was just the nicest guy to talk with for his “Alpha” mini.
I assume by “drawing on” we can expect more intelligent, less blood drooling animals in the comics depiction of Red Lanterns, which will be a nice update. If he takes other aspects of GLTAS’s red lantern corps, it will certainly be interesting though.

A couple years ago during the Blackest Night bubble, I made this Red Lantern cosplay prop. The Red Lanterns were my jam. But back then they didn’t really make any other official Lantern props other than Green.
So long story short I made one, and I’ve run outta space in my room. So who wants it? It’s made from wood, plastic, aluminum, glass, and a LOT of paint.
Message me if you want it, but you have to live in the LA-Burbank-Hollywood area I’m not going that crazy far to hand this thing over.

Kilowog and Razer fighting style guides!
Note that some of the rules I outlined above got changed as the series progressed.
I was really intrigued by the fact that Kilowog’s constructs made an extra loud sound in the comics. Unfortunately it was an idea that got lost in the shuffle with all the other things we were figuring out early in the series.
Originally I wanted it to be very hard for Red Lanterns to make constructs if not impossible. But as we started storyboarding, the fights were getting very mundane and repetitive. The GL’s kept making constructs only to have them broken by the Reds. Later we fudged that rule, which is why you see them make weapons occasionally. I think Razer even makes a wrench at some point.
